It’s official: Steve Landers is in the race for mayor

By: Arkansas Times

After a broad hint last night, this announcement comes as no surprise:

Greg Henderson, a publisher, has already announced his plan to oppose Mayor Frank Scott Jr.’s likely bid for re-election.

The election isn’t until November 2022, so there’s plenty of time for Landers to be more specific about unnecessary expenditures and renegotiated contracts. The biggest city contracts are with police and firefighters. The crime fight bears more discussion as well.

Landers only has 256 followers on Twitter at the moment, but he’s already getting a bruising.
